About KJ

The Lowcountry is home. It's where I've built my life and started my family, and it's where I've watched too many neighbors get squeezed until there's nothing left to give. Folks are choosing between medicine and groceries. Rent keeps climbing. Insurance feels like a scam.

I'm running for State House because I refuse to accept that as normal. I've spent my career fixing broken systems, and I've learned this: when leaders cater to corporate profits and political games, working families pay the price. We don't need more noise. We need someone who will show up, tell the truth, and get results for the people who keep this place running.

A mission rooted in results, not rhetoric.

Watching the systems we rely on fail our families isn't just frustrating; it’s a call to action. From the front lines of healthcare and technology, I’ve seen how the "backend" of our government is being exploited, leaving everyday people to foot the bill while the establishment plays for the cameras. I’m running to apply my experience in building complex systems to fix the ones that are currently working against us.

A Lowcountry Life You Can Afford

Making life affordable means lowering the everyday costs that are crushing Lowcountry families, especially housing and healthcare. Too many people are working hard and still falling behind. I’m running to deliver real cost relief so you can stay here, raise a family here, and actually get ahead.

Protect Our Coast. End Corruption.

Protecting our coast means defending the marshes, waterways, and shorelines that define who we are, not handing them over to developers with political connections. Too many decisions about our land and water are being made in back rooms, not by the people who actually live here. I'm running to put Lowcountry families back in charge of their own future, because this place is worth fighting for.

Fast Roads.
Dry Streets.

Fixing our roads and drainage means building a Lowcountry that can actually handle its own growth, not just patching potholes while flood waters rise around them. Too many neighborhoods are stuck in gridlock or underwater every time it rains, and it's only getting worse as more people discover what makes this place special. Charleston is growing and the infrastructure holding us together needs to grow with it.

Safe Technology Growth for Families.

Smart technology growth means making sure the AI boom and data center expansion happening across South Carolina works for families, not against them. Too many of these decisions are being made without any input from the communities that will live next to the noise, the heat, and the power draw. The Lowcountry deserves a seat at the table when the rules are being written, so new technology lifts us up instead of leaving us behind.
